Ballycanew Horse Riding Centre
Horse riding is a hugely popular leisure activity for people in County Wexford. Ballycanew Horse Riding Centre is located less than 15 minutes from Courtown. Fully qualified instruction is given in all aspects of equestrian sport. Ballycanew Riding Centre caters for all age groups from beginner to the very advanced. Facilities include a floodlight arena, a cross country course, farm rides, small arena for children/adults, trail rides and beach rides. Activities include cross country rides, dressage, group lessons, hacking, individual lessons, pony camp, show jumping and half day trail riding. It is AIRE / Bord Failte approved

We have 10 quality stables, a sanded arena and ample secure grazing. We provide full, part, grass and pony livery as well as beach and woods trekking and riding lessons. Special rates are available for our B&B guests. It is the ideal venue for children's birthday parties with pony rides, games, dancing, treasure hunts and delicious food
Lessons are €25 per hour
We also provide Hacking/Trekking onto the beach and through Courtown Woods for €25 per hour
Group rates of 10 or more qualify for. 10 % discount
A private lesson is €35 per hour
Full livery is from €80 per week
Half livery from €60 per week
Weekend livery €50
Pony parties from €15 to €30 per participant
Pony Club- 11.00 am to 4pm. €35.00 per day or €100.00 for 3 days
Over 10 participants € 90 each for 3 days
Bring your luncheon or luncheon provided for €5 per day

Butterfly Farm Equestrian Centre
Operated under the personal supervision of the owner's, Alma & Michael Byrne, Butterfly Farm offers the ideal conditions and encouragement to get started, or to expand your knowledge, in the exciting world of horses and ponies. Individual attention is assured and careful attention to the comfort, care and safety of even the youngest rider is the foremost priority of the centers management.
Facilities include: Two floodlight outdoor arena's, cross country course (currently under construction), 161 acres of scenic farm land, horse & pony transport for hire and a trustworthy, lovable collection of horses and ponies to suit all standards of rider for both adults and children. The centre is an A.I.R.E. approved establishment.
Group lessons at all levels from beginner to advanced, as well as specialised private coaching in show jumping and dressage is available. Disabled riders, with special needs, are warmly welcomed and can be accommodated.
